First things first, lets prepare for your first transaction.

All of our terminals are shipped to you "plug-and-play" enabled, and are ready to be used right out of the box. Simply follow the steps below and you will be ready to start processing transactions in no time.

Power On

Press and hold the green button for 2 seconds until the screen turns on.

Connect to Wi-Fi via the Terminal Administrator Button (TAB).

How to turn the device on and off.

When not plugged into a power source the Move 5000 will go into stand by mode after 60 seconds of no usage, the unit display will go black and appear to be off. To wake up the device simply press the green button.

Pro Tip: The unit will last longer with screen off and in stand by mode.

Power Up

Press and hold the "#" button and the yellow button for 2 seconds until the screen turns off.

Connect to Wi-Fi

Step 1

Press the white Terminal Administrator Button (TAB) which you will find on the bottom right under the device's screen.

Select the Admin Menu and press the green button to confirm.

Enter the password 123456A using the keypad. The password is case sensitive so the "A" must be uppercase.

In the Admin Menu scroll down to Terta Admin and press the green button to confirm.

Scroll down to Configure WiFi and press the green button to confirm. The device will start scanning available for Wi-Fi signals.

Select the network but make sure to select the 2.4G signal and NOT the 5G signal as the 5G band does not work on Ingenico terminals.

Once the password has been entered and the Wi-Fi is active you can press the yellow button to go back to the Admin Menu.

In the Admin Menu scroll down to User Mode and press the green button to confirm. Enter the same password as before.

The Wi-Fi signal icon on the device should be green, if the icon is white it means that the terminal is not connected. If so, you can repeat the steps above or reach out to your suppor team for assistance.

Step 1

Select Configure Download and check the current setting listed under Network Type.

If this needs to be adjusted simply select Network Type and scroll to the desired type method, then press the green button to confirm.

Press the yellow button to go back to the Download Application screen and select Start Download.

Depending on your internet speed a download should take about 5 minutes to complete. You will know this has occurred when you see the logo on the front screen.

Getting started is simple.

Your merchant portal can be accessed with the username and password that were sent to you in your welcome email. We strongly advise to use a Chrome browser for best results.

Unbox

Remove all protective materials (both on the screen and on the back charging connector) and power up the terminals using the power button on the left-hand side.

Load Paper

Load receipt paper into the terminals by following the diagram images under the lid.

Connect to Network

Swipe down on the screen and toggle the WiFi to "on". Then select your network and enter the associated password.

Update the App

Select the PayAuth application and swipe right on your screen, then update the application on the lower left side of the terminal.

Go Live!

With the device turned on simply select "Start Transaction" and you are ready to begin accepting payments.
